| Climate change is real, and the majority of scientists attribute a large part of this at humankind's feet. Legislators should have this in mind when building out infrastructure (Will this highway be in a floodplain in ten years?) and buying equipment (Do we need a big truck to transport state employees from one place to another, or would a electric/hybrid vehicle be more efficient/environmentally friendly?) Regardless of the cause, climate change is occurring and will make life across the planet more unpredictable and unfriendly to humans and animals alike. Keeping this in mind when making decisions is key. | |||

Protections should also be made for LGBTQ+ individuals when it comes to housing, employment, and other public services as well. | |||

| Healthcare-We have seen in recent months, our healthcare workers and first responders are vital to keep our community healthy and thriving. As state representative, I would work hard to expand Medicaid for Kansans, because having healthy, insured citizens results in a safer and productive society for all. Many communities throughout the state have lost medical centers, hospitals, and doctor's offices as a result of legislators' lack of expanding Medicaid. With hospitals having the certainty of reimbursement from Medicaid, this could slow or reverse the negative results of the last several years shuttering of those offices and hospitals across the state. | |||
